Julia Torres Barden survived a violent New York City childhood as a Puerto Rican girl from the South Bronx. Despite being a survivor of rape, childhood trauma, forced adoption, 9/11, corporate discrimination and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Barden is an award-winning reporter, TEDx speaker, former corporate executive and passionate political advocate.
